Let’s admit it, we’re all probably guilty of dropping some cash on a whole new skincare routine hoping it’ll fix the rest of our life. Thankfully, a few times a year, the sale gods smile down on us and allow us to do that for less, and one of the best days to take advantage and bag a whole host of bargains is on Amazon Prime Day.
Prime Day is prime time to stock up on all your beauty favourites, especially when it comes to skincare products. In past years, Amazon has offered great savings on some of the most popular beauty tech products including hair removal devices to cult brands such as CeraVe and Elemis.
How do I get access to Amazon Prime Day deals?
The process is simple, all you need to do to access Prime Day deals is sign up for a Prime Membership (if you haven’t already, you can do that here). Once you’ve signed up, simply head to Amazon.co.uk on the 11th and 12th of July, where the site will be constantly updated with new deals and some serious £££ savings.
When is Amazon Prime Day this year?
Amazon Prime Day is running from the 11th of July until the 12th of July, so you’ve got two days of jam-packed sales to sort through, spanning everything from fashion finds to tech and beauty.
To give you a head start, I’ve compiled the crème de la crème of cult skincare products that are on sale in the 2023 Prime Day deals, from K-Beauty to derm-approved skincare actives. Just call it prime pickings.
Elizabeth Arden
Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, was £28 now £13.36
If Prince Harry’s oversharing of how he used EA Eight Hour Cream in his autobiography wasn’t enough to put you off, then you’ll be pleased to know you can get your hands on this beloved multitasker for under £20 in the Prime Day sale.
Royal connections aside, this do-it-all balm really is a handbag essential, as it can be used to soften cracked lips, moisturise dry skin, nourish nails and cuticles, add a dewy glow to your skin, and even keep your brows in place. Whew.
COSRX
Snail Mucin Power Essence, was £21.99 now £11.90
If you’re looking to dip your toe into the world of K-Beauty, you’ve absolutely got to start off with COSRX’s Snail Mucin Power Essence. This is quite literally secretion from a snail, but hear me out: it’s packed full of hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, allantoin and antioxidants which form a hydrating and soothing essence, which is perfect for repairing and healing dry and irritated skin.
While it does have the texture and feel of snail slime, it sinks into your skin leaving a smooth and plump finish with no stickiness, and it doesn’t pill under makeup. Em Rata is allegedly a fan, so if it’s good enough for her…
Olay
Regenerist Retinol24 Night Face Cream Moisturiser, was £38 now £14.48
This high-street retinol cream has racked up thousands of fans thanks to its nourishing yet renewing formula. A potent retinoid complex is buffered by vitamin b3 to smooth, hydrate, plump and add glow to the skin.
Not only is this an incredible night-time moisturiser in its own right, but it’s also been noted as a dupe for Drunk Elephant’s A-Passioni Retinol Cream, £67. That means with its current discount, you could bag this affordable version for almost £50 less than Drunk Elephant.
The Inkey List
Peptide Moisturiser, was £15.99, now £7.81
Peptides are having a serious moment, with brands such as Hailey Bieber’s Rhode waxing lyrical about the skin health benefits. But hype aside, The Inkey List was ahead of the game (as always) with its Peptide Moisturiser, a peptide-rich cream that helps to support your skin’s natural collagen levels, firm and nourish while giving a plump, hydrated finish.
Elemis
Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, was £48 now £33.99
Arguably the most popular cleansing balm out there, you’ll want to stock up on this luxurious cleanser this Prime Day. Judging by previous years, this balm has always been subject to some serious money off, as have other favourite Elemis products. If you haven’t tried it, let me fill you in on why it’s so damn good: this balm formula is enriched with padina pavonica, starflower and elderberry oil to support skin health and hydration.
It melts into the skin to gently remove makeup, pollution and daily debris from the skin, leaving it feeling nourished and looking glowy to the gods. You can opt for fragrance-free, or indulge in the spa-like Summer Bloom scent. For those that love a multihyphenate, this cleansing balm also doubles up as a soothing and softening mask.
CeraVe
SA Smoothing Cream for Rough and Bumpy Skin, was £22 now £15.98
Bumpy skin and keratosis pilaris can be a real bugbear, but luckily there are a few ways you can treat it at home. Incorporating exfoliators into your body care routine can help to smooth skin, and CeraVe’s SA is one of the best.
This rich body cream is formulated with salicylic acid to gently exfoliate, while urea and a tri-ceramide complex softens the skin and helps to protect the skin barrier.
Garnier
Vitamin C Brightening Serum 3.5%, was £12.99 now £7.55
This potent skincare serum contains a cocktail of vitamin C, niacinamide and salicylic acid to help the skin to a brighter, more even-toned texture. The serum is lightweight in texture and sinks into the skin quickly without leaving a greasy or tacky residue. Whether you want to address dark spots, dullness or texture, this nifty bottle offers effective treatment at a super affordable price.
