I’m a big Fenty Beauty fan. It’s a rare thing for me to say, but there’s not been one product I’ve tried from Fenty that I haven’t loved, and trust me, I’ve tried a lot.
While some might say I was biased from the get-go, being a long-term Rihanna stan (‘Unfaithful’ was the first song I ever learned the lyrics to, and yes it was pretty deep for a 6-year-old), the quality of Fenty Beauty’s products speak for themselves.
The words ‘gamechanger’ and ‘disruptor’ get thrown around a lot, but Fenty’s launch into the beauty world truly made it deserving of those titles.
Rihanna changed the landscape of beauty as we know it today; where many brands were still falling behind in their shade ranges, Fenty put diversity and inclusivity first, alongside truly one-of-a-kind formulations.
As of right now, my everyday makeup bag contains the Fenty Bright Fix Eye Brightener (its ability to hide dark circles is second to none), Match Stix Matte Skinstick in Amber (the ideal contour shade if you’re a pale girl like me) and the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer.

My wider beauty stash contains other products from the range I’ll dip in and out of depending on which look I’m going for, such as the Stunna Lip Paint, which is my go-to when I’m feeling a red lip kinda day.
Now, there are some Fenty Beauty products, such as the Bright Fix Eye Brightener, for which I’ve yet to find any product that can come close to replicating it.
But there are others I’ve tried in my time which on application, you’d be pretty hard-pressed to tell the difference when comparing to Fenty’s.

Fenty Gloss Bomb was the first Fenty product I ever tried after snapping it up in Sephora on a trip to Paris (remember when you had to get a Eurostar to shop at Sephora?!).

I’ve repurchased it many times since because I love the finish and scent (remember those strawberry fruit lollipops you had as a kid?), but for an everyday alternative (and one that you won’t feel so guilty about if you lose), Maybelline’s Lip Lifter Hydrating Gloss in Topaz is a near spot on dupe.
The two have a very similar consistency that’s a bit thicker than your usual gloss but not at all sticky.
It’s the finish that really steals the show though; Topaz is a shimmery multidimensional shade that looks incredible on all skin tones and plumps up the lips thanks to hyaluronic acid.

If given the option, I always choose a skin tint over a foundation, and I was suitably impressed when I tried Fenty Eaze Drops. The finish isn’t what I’d normally go for (it’s a natural matte) but it’s perfect for those with oily skin types who want medium coverage with a lighter feel.

Rimmel’s Kind & Free Skin Tint is a serious contender in terms of matching Fenty for coverage; I’ll admit my jaw dropped a bit when I tried it for the first time (a small amount packs serious pigment).
It’s a little more hydrating on my skin than Fenty’s Eaze Drop, which is a bonus IMO, and requires very little buffing in to get that blurred, flawless skin effect.

As a pale girl, finding a contour shade can be tricky as a lot of shades tend to look warm on my skin. I bought Fenty’s Match Stix in Amber after reading reviews that it was the perfect cool-toned contour shade for lighter skin tones, and let me tell you, it is.

On the hunt for an affordable alternative, I noticed that e.l.f’s Putty Bronzer in Feelin’ Shady looked more like a contour shade than a warm bronzer.
On application, it’s less opaque than the Fenty Matchstix, but sometimes I find that preferable if you’re going for a natural contour. It’s also super blendable, with a texture that reminds me slightly of a gel, so at £6, it’s a worthy dupe.

Sephora coming back to the UK is the gift that keeps on giving, not least because of its namesake collection, which has a whole host of affordable beauty products with incredible formulations.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored, £22
I’m a long-term lover of Fenty Beauty’s Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored, so was pretty thrilled when I swatched Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain in 01 and found the two to be almost identical.
The dry down on both of them leaves you with a comfortable, wearable matte colour that lasts around 4-6 hours on me, and Sephora’s pigments are insane for the price.

I’ve become a hardcore blush convert thanks to cream blushers that add a gorgeous healthy glow to the skin, especially in winter when bronzer can feel a bit much.

Fenty’s Cheeks Out Cream Blush come in an impressive range of 10 shades, including purples and fuchsia pinks. While Milani’s Cheek Kiss Cream Blush only currently comes in four hues, they’re pretty comparable alongside Fenty’s.
Milani’s Merlot Moment is a close match for Summertime Wine, while Nude Kiss bears a strong resemblance to Fenty’s Rose Latte.

Dupe for Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Lip Luminizer and Plumper in Hot Chocolitt Heat: NYX Professional Makeup Butter Lip Gloss in Brownie Drip
Thanks to it going viral on Tiktok due to its universally flattering finish, Fenty’s Lip Luminizer in Hot Chocolitt Heat has sold out multiple times and become like gold dust to try and get hold of.

Luckily, I’ve found a pretty close alternative; NYX’s Butter Lip Gloss in Brownie Drip swatches slightly differently but once applied on the lips, is nearly identical to the warm chocolatey finish of Hot Chocolitt Heat.
The main difference between the two is that Fenty’s is a lip plumper, so contains ingredients that help to emphasise the size of your lips, whereas NYX’s doesn’t, so if you’re after that lip-plumping effect, it’s worth saving for Fenty (the difference is seriously impressive).

Fenty’s Pro Filt’r foundation is one of the brand’s most-loved products, with a high-performing formulation that gives flawless coverage while looking like a second skin.

While it’s worth every penny of the £30, it’s not always realistic to spend that much on a foundation every time. For £18 (you can often find it with an offer on, too), Morphe’s Soft-Focus foundation is almost identical in finish, coverage and texture.
Morphe’s foundation has a pretty extensive shade range with 40 available in its Soft Focus Foundation, but I did find the shades tended to read warm on my skin, so if you struggle to find the perfect shade or undertone, you may be better off investing in Fenty’s Pro Filt’r.

The main difference between the two is that Fenty’s does seem to absorb oil better throughout the day, but for £12 less, Morphe’s foundation is definitely one of the better dupes I’ve found.
