A No7 pink lipstick was one of the first beauty products I ever tried (or rather, stole) as a child from my mum’s dressing table. This introduction to the brand, passed on from mother to daughter seems to be a universal rite of passage, but there’s a lot more to No7 than it just being your mum’s favourite face cream.
Although it’s often thought of as a high-street classic, you might still be surprised to hear that No7 has been around since 1935, when it launched as Boots’ own skincare range. In 2021 Walgreens launched No7 as its own individual company, though it still counts Boots as its sole high street retailer.
Since then, No7 has gone on to launch iconic lines such as its Protect and Perfect range and new Future Renew line which has some incredible research and results (more on that below).
So, is No7 skincare any good?
Separating it from other high-street brands, No7’s skincare places research and innovative technology at the forefront of its values, while keeping prices as accessible as possible.
As well as its skincare, No7 has really stepped up its makeup offering, creating high-end formulations at high street prices. It’s these products that have been driving a huge amount of love for the brand on TikTok, with users sharing their favourite No7 dupes for higher-end products (more on those below!).
Which No7 beauty products should I try?
Recently, the brand launched the Pro Derm Scan, a device which allows in-store skin diagnostics for customers in just a few minutes. The scan highlights what areas of concern (such as hydration, fine lines or wrinkles) their skincare routine should be focusing on and allows for personalised recommendations.

1. No7 Future Renew Serum, £42.95
No7’s Future Renew is the brand’s most recent range, and one of the most hotly anticipated I’ve seen in a while, with a pre-release waiting list of 88,000 people. That’s enough to take up almost all of Wembley Stadium. So what had people in such a frenzy?
Well, this range has been 15 years in the making; No7 worked with The University of Manchester on research and development and ended up creating a formulation that contains a world-first super-peptide blend. The result? A formulation that can reverse signs of skin damage, including fine lines, wrinkles, uneven tone and loss of elasticity, in just four weeks. The whole range is seriously groundbreaking, but I would highly recommend investing in the serum if you can only buy one product from it.
2. No7 HydraLuminous Moisturising Foundation, £14.95
With a super hydrating formula and medium-to-high coverage finish, it’s no surprise that people have been lauding this as their favourite high-street foundation on TikTok.
It’s flooded with skincare ingredients including Vitamin A, C, E and grapeseed oil which gives skin a glowing, healthy finish.
3. No7 Pure Retinol 0.3% Retinol Night Concentrate, £34.95
Although No7s whole retinol range is one to be admired, it’s specifically this product that gets a standing ovation from us.
It contains 0.3% pure retinol alongside Matrixyl 3000+, a complex of nourishing peptides which helps to protect skin from irritation. Oh, not to mention it’s the number one best-selling retinol in Boots.
4. No7 Flawless Finishing Powder, £12.95
If you prefer powders that give a softly-lit finish (as opposed to purely matte), you’ll love No7’s Flawless Finishing Powder.
The formula still controls oil and shine throughout the day, but contains light-diffusing particles to lend a luminous look to the skin, so you can count on your complexion not to fall flat.
It’s even drawn comparisons as a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, but it’s less than half the price.
5. No7 Matte Lip Crayon, £11.95
A long-lasting matte lipstick that doesn’t dry out your lips can be a tricky one to come by, but No7 have mastered it with their lip crayon.
Formulated with a blend of seed oils and fruit extracts, this silky crayon glides on and provides all-day moisture while locking in colour with a soft matte finish.
6. No7 Cleansing Balm, £12.95
When it comes to taking your makeup off at the end of the day, there’s really no cleanser that feels as luxurious as a cleansing balm. Thankfully, No7s version provides all the richness without the spendy price tag.
Makeup and daily grime dissolves easily, but your skin’s moisture levels are kept balanced thanks to a tri-vitamin complex and grapeseed oil.
