It’s been a hell of a year for beauty lovers so far, with the new Sephora store launching in London only a few months after the return of its UK website last December. If you count yourself as a makeup maven or skincare savant, you’d probably been waiting for the return of Sephora with bated breath, not just because of its extensive brand repertoire, but due to its own much-loved Sephora Collection range.
For years we could only sit and watch as influencers and beauty bloggers from the other side of the pond raved about the cult products from Sephora’s Collection line, an affordable range of products that includes everything from masks to makeup, tools and body care.
With the brand having now launched on our soil, the Sephora Collection line has firmly placed itself as one of my favourite high street affordable beauty ranges. I’ve been lucky enough to try a lot from the range over the past few months, and these are the best products that I will be buying time and time again.
The best Sephora Collection products
Here’s my run down of the products from Sephora’s own range which have impressed me the most.
Sephora Collection Bitten Lipstick, £10.99
Sephora’s Bitten Lipstick has become one of my new everyday lip formulas that I keep on rotation. Like the name suggests, this lightweight cream formula gives the appearance of a softly diffused, blurred lip, with a demi-matte finish that doesn’t dry out.
It comes in a range of 11 shades, from romantic raspberry pinks to vibrant orange reds that make it incredibly easy to achieve that just-kissed Parisian finish or K-Beauty gradient lip look.
Sephora Collection 12H Coloful Contour Eye Pencil, £8.99
After being a liquid eyeliner loyalist for almost 10 years, I’ve recently made the switch to using eyeliner pencils for a softer, more lived-in liner look, and this £8.99 option from Sephora is the product that convinced me to change. It’s since become my favourite-ever pencil formula.
It has a mid-gel texture that applies comfortably to my upper and lower lash line without dragging, but it’s the longevity of this product which is even more impressive. With other eyeliners I’ve found them transferring under my eyes after a couple of hours wear, but with this one, I’ve been able to go all night without having to worry about getting unwanted smudging. It also comes in a huge range of shades, from muted matte neutrals to stunning metallics and glitters, so there’s more than one option for every eye colour and occasion.
Sephora Collection Exfoliating Body Granita, £9.99
When it comes to body scrubs, I don’t believe you need to spend a small fortune to get a luxury experience. This grainy, delicious-smelling scrub from Sephora comes in at under £10 and as soon as you pop open the pot, you’re transported to more tropical climes due to the divine scent.
Not only does the scrub gently exfoliate away dead skin, but it leaves your skin enhanced with a gorgeous scent for the rest of the day. Currently, it comes in five different mouth-watering scents: Cherry Blossom, Mango, Cotton Flower, Lagoon and my current favourite, Monoi. It’s one of those products that really feels like a treat when you use it and is reserved for those special ‘everything shower’ occasions.
Sephora Collection Hydrating Vitamin Eye Masks Aloe Vera + Vitamin E, £3.99
Sephora Collection’s most well-known products are undoubtedly its range of sheet masks. Brightly packaged and with a host of vitamins and skin-loving ingredients, the urge to throw all of them in my basket is one I’ve had to fight more than I’d like to admit.
That said, if I had to choose a favourite, it would be the Hydrating Vitamin Eye Masks with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, £3.99, Sephora, which deliver a much-needed hit of moisture to my under eyes, which can get a little crepey in the colder months. I’ll use these a couple of times a week and find it makes a big difference in minimising any dehydration lines that would otherwise appear.
Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Foundation, £17.99
While it sits at the more expensive price point for high street makeup, this foundation gives high-end, luxury formulas a run for their money.
You can achieve a medium coverage with this foundation, which has a natural, slightly glowing finish, and people seriously love it for the way it seamlessly blends in for a second skin look and doesn’t go cakey or dry on skin texture and pores. Because let’s be real, we all have those things, and a foundation that doesn’t sit well with our natural skin is not cutting it for us anymore.
The shade line up is also one of the largest offered on the high street, with a range of 45 different options.
Sephora Collection Outrageous Plump Effect Gloss, £12.99
If you love your lips looking glossed up to the max, you need to get your hands on one (or five) of these. Plumping and with an extreme gloss finish, it’s not hard to see why TikTok has gone head over heels for this formula.
Aside from the gorgeous, coquetteish packaging, the shades are SO pretty, including shimmering frosted pinks and soft nude browns that scream 90s aesthetic. They come with a minty flavour so if you don’t love a scented lip product, these might not be for you, but personally I love the fun and nostalgia factor with these glosses.
