Eliza Approved spotlights those hero products worth the spend. Whether it’s classic favourites or what’s landed on our beauty editor’s desk this week, you can put your trust in our recommendations.
As a beauty editor, there are few things that earn a permanent spot on my bathroom shelves. Anything that does (and thus is continually re-stocked) is there for a reason: it’s that. damn. good.
One such product – which I literally go into panic over when it’s nearly out (cue nervous eye twitch) – is the Ginzing Tinted Moisturiser by Origins.
The first thing I always point out about this product is that it is a skincare tinted moisturiser, not a makeup tinted moisturiser. It can’t be used as a substitute for a foundation or other base, for example, but instead as a final step in your skincare routine for a light tint and burst of glow.
I’ve recommended this product to countless people, particularly at my spin studio for fresh, bright skin before and after a workout, when you might be feeling a little self conscious going totally bare faced otherwise.

What does the Origins Ginzing Tinted Moisturiser do?
This product is the definition of multitasking, making it worth your hard-earned cash.
First up, it’s just a great hydrator for skin, and the ingredients list boasts skin boosters such as coffee beans and panax ginseng to revive the skin and give it new life.
Then there’s the protective element: the formula has an SPF 40, and also helps to protect the skin from external aggressors such as pollution.
Finally, there’s the tint. As you apply the moisturiser, you’ll see skin blurred out and given a distinct glow and hit of subtle colour. It’s enough to give you skin confidence, making it perfect for those off duty, in-between days.
How to use the Origins Ginzing Tinted Moisturiser
I use this product mostly at weekends or when going to my spin classes. I find it’s best to apply atop a nourishing oil or dedicated SPF moisturiser (for double the protection) to up the level of glow. It sinks in much better on skin that has more of a slip, and the tint applies more smoothly.
As it’s a skincare product, I never find it to be a problem while working out; I never breakout or feel it on my skin thanks to its featherlight texture.
I also apply it after washing my face following a workout to leave the studio with top tier confidence.
This is a good product to apply if you don’t fancy doing makeup but need a little ‘something.’
My only qualm with the product is that it only comes in one shade. That said, it is sheer, so is worth trying, but more shade options would definitely be preferable to the one.
How to buy the Origins Ginzing Tinted Moisturiser
I wholeheartedly recommend this product, and you can buy it from a variety of different retailers online. The best price I’ve found it for is on LookFantastic, where it is currently £27.20 rather than the RRP of £34.
