As a proud member of the Queer community, June is always an exciting time for me. The month of Pride means feeling extra proud and excited about our identities as LGBTQ+ people, and is awash with celebrations (from now until the end of summer) across the country in the form of festivals, parades and parties.
And as a huge nail art fan (seriously, it’s like my favourite part of being a beauty editor), I tend to use this time to wear my pride on my fingertips. Whether it’s simple rainbows, more intricate designs, glitter galore or just a multi-coloured mani, I love this season of brights and bolds.
Now if you love a nude (nail polish, that is…), this is the time to throw caution to the wind and try something a little different. Embrace your pride – whether a part of the community or a loving ally – with your beauty choices this season, starting with bright, happy, celebratory nails….

Mix’n’match
Mix’n’match designs never go out of style, so embrace them for this period of celebration!
Rainbow hearts
I am a little biased on these, as they were my design of choice in 2022. They are so intricate and detailed though, and were definitely worth the time they took!
Colourful swirls
You can still get your hit of pride colours in a non-rainbow design. These squiggly flowers are divine.
Tips
Can’t decide on a single colour for your tips? Choose them all this Pride.
Ombre fading
I love a faded ombre design, and this one uses every colour under the sun!
Mini hearts
Mix tips with mini hearts to embrace the Pride colours.
All that glitters…
If you’re off to any Pride celebrations such as a parade or festival, this is the look to go for.
Understated magic
Another ultra-stylish way to do multi-coloured tips, I love this squared-off design.
Abstract swirls
I don’t know what I love more here: the gorgeous swirls or golden detailing.
Don’t be bitter; glitter
Can’t decide between all the colours and glitter? Go both.
