The Inkey List is without a doubt one of my favourite affordable skincare brands in the ‘biz. In fact, I harp on about these guys so much, you’d think I created the products myself (I didn’t, sadly).
The brand is best known for its purse-friendly single ingredient buys, from its bestselling Hyaluronic Acid serum to the Caffeine Eye Cream. In these financially challenging times, brands like Inkey make shopping smarter for skincare that bit easier – without sacrificing quality or the ability to try new, trending ingredients.
Its most recent launch has taken the brand to new heights, also. The ‘Supersolutions’ range is here for those of us who have more specific skin concerns that may require a visit to the derm or an ongoing prescription.
Inkey founders Mark and Colette have worked closely with renowned derms and skin experts including Eliza’s very own skin columnist Dr Kemi, who knows pretty much everything there is to know about the skin.
The line comprises four new skincare solutions to fight issues such as acne, scarring, dryness, sensitivity and redness. They are “formulated with high-performance actives, included at a level to target and improve more severe or persistent skin issues,” according to the brand.
First up is the Scar, Mark & Wrinkle Solution 1% Retinol Serum, which aims to resurface the skin and tackles marks, post-acne scarring and wrinkles. It uses Inkey’s highest level of retinol, along with hydrating squalane and apricot kernal oil.
Next, there’s the Excess Oil Solution 20% Niacinamide Serum. This contains the brand’s highest concentration of niacinamide and addresses excess oil and pore size.
Then there’s the Dry & Rough Skin Solution 10% Urea Moisturiser, which is ideal for those with sensitive skin, along with conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It both hydrates and gently exfoliates, and helps to restore the skin’s barrier.
And finally, the collection features the Redness Relief Solution 10% Azelaic Acid Serum to reduce redness and soothe skin. High-strength azelaic acid calms inflammation and evens skin tone.
The price points on these are slightly higher than we may be used to with The Inkey List, but considering they are high performing formulations, this makes sense. The products start at £15.99 and cap at £22.99.
You can shop them at The Inkey List’s website or at Boots.
