Calling all my big-boobed ladies – it’s time to get rid of those ill-fitting bras you bought because they were pretty but weren’t *actually* in your size, or that bra that may fit well but is the literal definition of an over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder – it’s giving Miss Trunchbull if she were a bra.
Before you ask, yes, as a 34E gal, I am very much guilty of owning both these kinds of bras – aren’t we all? Being a larger busted woman, we’ve all experienced the dreaded ‘quad boob’, seen our smaller boobed friends wearing the most beautiful, dainty bras and felt green with envy, or then squeezed our boobs into too small bras bringing them to the brink of suffocation – it’s all just a rite of passage for us.
I pretty much came out the womb with big boobs and I was the first out of all my friends to start wearing a bra. It was a time of absolute sheer embarrassment for me and there was no way of flying under the radar, especially when all my friends had their enviably flat chests, and I was there with a chest to rival Dolly Parton’s (OK, this is a slight exaggeration, but that’s how it felt). I still have the most vivid, traumatic memory of one of the boys in my class walking past and pulling the back of my bra strap, and at that moment my 10-year-old self would’ve been happy to simply sink into the classroom floor.
But our days of being marginalised and cursing the boob gods are no more! There is nothing better than putting beautiful underwear on and feeling so great that you give off main character energy for the rest of the day. After years of being forced to wear bras that were reminiscent of the ones our great grandmothers wore (you know the ones I mean, those giant lacy styles wore since they were the only ones that came in sizes larger than a C cup), it’s now our time to shine.

After years of steering clear of non-wired and non-padded jersey bras after being indoctrinated with the idea that they’re for the small boob crew only, I recently rebelled and bring good news. I’m officially a bralette convert now and will preach about them to anyone who will listen. Best multiway and strapless bras for bigger busts
It’s time to stop depriving yourself of wearing outfits that require you to wear anything other than a regular bra. For years I steered clear of any tops or dresses that looked even remotely obscure for fear of having a nipple to the wind moment if I went braless.
