Depending on my mood, I’m either super-invested in celebrities on holiday (waiting for Insta Story updates, saving outfit inspo posts to come back to when packing for my own hols – that kind of thing), or I’m muting them all since I’m at my desk and the UK weather’s taken a turn again. There are only so many five-star hotel suites, Michelin-star meals and private jet interiors that a gal can take, you know? Oh, how the other half live.
But since the other half kicked off their (seemingly never-ending) summer holidays last month, I’ve been loving the content. Kendall Jenner has had me reminiscing about summer nights on the French Riviera and Rochelle Humes made me want to book a flight to Dubai pronto. And let’s not get started on all the different Pilates classes Hailey Bieber has had me looking into.
The common theme through them all however, is that there are stylish holiday looks galore. From statement swimwear to cute evening looks, here are the best celebrity outfits of 2023 – so far, since you can bet I’ll be keeping an eye out for more…
Sofia Richie Grainge in the Maldives
Sofia’s Maldivian honeymoon made headline news: it came hot on the heels of her unreal wedding which had us all (read: me, mostly) obsessed with her chic wardrobe and classic styling. She kept the same energy for her honeymoon, and the fabulous looks kept on coming.
One of the best? This cute knitted skirt (I’ve found a dupe!) with a matching T-shirt. I love how pared-back her accessories are, too. No sky-high heels or teeny designer bag to be seen: just flip-flops, sunnies and simple hoops. 10/10.
Kendall Jenner in South of France
Kendall has mastered the art of sleek but statement holiday dressing. Her sheer maxi is equal parts timeless and modern, and can feel less risquè depending on what’s underneath. Of course, her triangle tanga bikini is as minimal as it gets, but a crop top and cycling shorts, or a mini vest dress would work too depending on your mood. Giant straw bag and designer sunnies optional.

Rochelle Humes in Dubai
The last thing you want in the desert is a figure-hugging outfit, and Rochelle – who travels to Dubai regularly – knows. What did she opt for instead? A T-shirt, striped linen trousers, chunky comfy sandals and a cap, a girl after my own heart.
This is a casual look that works perfectly for the heatwave in the UK, too. Sticking to breezy fabrics and silhouettes is the wisest come hot weather.
Hailey Bieber in France
Hailey’s French jaunt has provided endless summer outfit inspiration. From her Parisian-chic boat look above in stripes and classic sunnies, to her matchy but low-key beach looks. If you want to keep covered up in the sun but don’t want anything too heavy, I’d always recommend a vest in a shade that matches your swimwear – just look at how expensive it makes everything appear.
Shay Mitchell in Italy
Shay Mitchell makes the case for ‘glasual’ – that’s glam-casual, by the way. The luxe gold earrings and ruffled bikini top tick the glam box, while the denim cut-offs and effortless hair dress it down, making it an ideal day look for a beach club or day party on hols.
The style takeaway is, when in Italy, go OTT.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in LA
Technically, since Rosie HW used to live in LA, this may or may not be classed as a holiday depending on who you ask. For me, however, even if you’re visiting a home away from home, if there’s sunshine and a summer-ready all-white outfit in tow, then it’s a holiday.
Rosie proves her minimal look works for every occasion, and it looks particularly good with sleek hair and oversized gold jewels for cocktails by the sea.
Leonie Hanne in Portofino
If you weren’t sure where she was holidaying, Leonie’s chic printed skirt does all the talking. A summery two-piece is the perfect day-to-night holiday look. For sightseeing and lunching in the day, wear with a denim jacket, espadrilles and a sun hat, then by night, throw on some gold platforms and a bright lip and you’re good to go.
Jordyn Woods in Dubai
At the time of writing, Dubai is a sweltering 40-degrees celsius, so it’s no wonder Jordyn Woods opted for a teeny animal print triangle bikini while on a recent holiday. The main style takeaway here? Always accessorise your swimwear. It’s an outfit after all, so why not add extra interest by way of gold hoop earrings, and oversized cuff or a lovely hair claw? Just be sure to remove them all if you’re planning to do any actual swimming.
Victoria Beckham on a UK staycation
Staying true to my minimal, neutral aesthetic on holiday instead of indulging in all things fringed and colourful is a fashion debate I have ahead of any summer holiday, so I found Victoria Beckham’s little black maxi particularly pleasing. While her fellow holiday-goers had embraced mermaidcore-esque tie-dye, floaty shapes and coloured prints, VB’s look was a throwback to her years as Posh Spice.
