While they may be known for their cult lace up boot, Dr Martens are also leading the way in the sandal scene, with their comfy meets cool styles fast becoming a go-to for festivals and days out, as well as effortlessly toughening up summer dresses no matter the occasion.
But, with many pairs priced at around £100, they aren’t the most purse-friendly of sandals. So, I went on the hunt for the best high-street alternatives that offer the Dr Martens inspired style without the hefty price tag. Step this way for my pick of the best…
Dr Martens Blaire Hydro black sandals
With a price tag of £119, Dr Marten’s Blaire Hydro’s may look great but they cost a pretty penny too. Thankfully, Ego are on hand with the perfect dupe. Featuring a similar chunky sole and the iconic triple strap design, they’re a winner in our book. Yes, they may not be real leather but if you’re looking to try out the style before committing to the real thing these are a great option (and the fact they cost less than £30 is a big bonus).

Dr Martens Nartilla gladiator sandals
For the perfect holiday sandal, look no further than the Nartilla gladiators. With a chunky sole ideal for a busy day exploring and lace up detailing for added style points, they’re practical and pretty. If you’re on the lookout for a dupe check out New Look’s flatform gladiators. They feature a similar chunky sole yet the flatform makes them a little more dressy than Dr Martens cleated style. Move quick, as I predict these won’t be around for much longer.

Dr Martens Myles slide sandals
If slides are more your style then Dr Marten’s Myles slides are probably on your radar already. What you may not have spotted however are NA-KD’s equally as great Profile slides. I love the addition of the white stitching to give a nod to the Dr Martens originals without outright copying, plus the patent material makes these feel slightly more elevated meaning you could easily wear them to the office with a pair of wide leg trousers.

Dr Martens Olsen Zipped strap sandals
The most statement of all Dr Martens sandals, the Olsen Zipped style are so good they regularly sell out on Dr Martens website. If you aren’t able to get your hands on them, or want a more cost-effective option, look no further than Ego’s Ciroc sandals. Ticking off the chunky sole, zip front detail and buckle straps, they’re as close as a dupe can be in my opinion.

Dr Martens Blaire Hydro white sandals
I’ve already shown you a great dupe for the Blaire Hydro’s in black but if you’re looking for a different colourway Schuh’s Tate Sandals have you covered. Alongside classic black they also come in white and khaki (as well as lilac which are currently sold out online), so you can opt for whatever colour fits seamlessly into your wardrobe. Or, at just £40 a pair, we wouldn’t blame you if you treated yourself to all four.
