If you haven’t complained to someone about how cold it’s gotten recently you must be a stronger person than me. And, when I’m not complaining I’m plotting ways to keep warm: a list which includes copious cups of tea, thermal leggings (if you haven’t tried them you need to check them out) and last but most definitely not least, big cosy faux fur coats.
Luckily, the high street has so many great options that are not only stylish but also super snuggly too. Sounds great right? Well here’s my pick of the 6 best faux fur coats available right now. Move quick though as in this chilly weather I don’t imagine they’ll be around for long.
Oasis
Have you ever seen a faux fur coat that screams luxury more than this one? I think not. It’s giving rich auntie, just killed my husband and spent the summer on a yacht all wrapped into one. I’ll be wearing this over a slinky satin maxi dress on date night or you could also toughen it up with a white shirt, a pair of light wash jeans and boots. Either way you’re sure to look oh-so-expensive and keep the chills at bay too.
Next
Grey tones offer a less harsh, more wearable alternative to black, making this faux fur shearling coat the perfect option for day-to-night dressing. Layer over a metallic mini dress for a party or for day dressing it’ll look great with a slouchy grey tracksuit and ugg boots, yes really.
Topshop
For a coat that has serious wow factor, add this Topshop number to your basket ASAP. Picture throwing this on over a matching cream jumper, mini skirt and knee high boots for a cute winter going out look.
NA-KD
If, like me, you’ve found yourself still obsessed with all things partywear post-festive season, then I’m sure you’ll be equally as obsessed with this glamorous NA-KD number. The fuzzy furry texture, extra oversized collar and chic statement buckles make this look way more expensive than its price tag. Plus, the longline length makes it perfect for extra chilly days making it a more practical buy too.
Mango
This oversized faux fur is giving serious 80’s vibes in the best way possible. I’d channel the vintage look with the rest of my outfit: think drop earrings, a unitard and platform heels for pub drinks or light wash denim for a more chilled feel. Want something a little less form-fitting? Switch the unitard for a shimmery maxi dress for the perfect out-out look that still has a little throwback feel about it.
Jakke
Faux fur doesn’t mean you have to stick to neutral tones as this bold printed coat proves. If you’re going big on colour stick to a simple colour palette for the rest of your look; this will look great paired with your favourite little black dress or even a little white dress if you’re feeling extra brave. Finish with some sky high platforms to play with the proportions of your look and that’s your evening outfit sorted.
