Picture the scene: the heatwave has kicked off and you’ve finally decided to make the bold move from trainers to sandals. There’s one pair you’ve been seeing all your favourite fashion girls wearing that you just *have* to get your hands on. You go onto one of their profiles and follow the link in the bio to find out where they’re from. Bank card at the ready, you wait in anticipation as the website loads, fully prepared to make your first summer purchase… till the link opens. They’re Hermès and priced approximately £500 over budget. And *that* is what you call a modern-day horror story.
When you’ve got your heart set on something and you find out it’s out of your price range, it’s scientifically proven to produce the same emotions as when you’re going through a break-up. Ok, it’s not been scientifically proven, but it most probably does.
Luckily for you, the Designer Dupe Detective is here to mend all your broken hearts by bringing you the best Hermès sandal dupes at prices that won’t cause a jump scare.

Hermès sandals are, and always will be, the ‘It girl’ of summer shoes. They are the epitome of chicness and quiet luxury, and will instantly elevate any outfit whether it’s jeans and a tee or a floral summer dress. Unfortunately, many of our pay grades are more ‘muted high street’ than ‘quiet luxury’. That’s why I, the self-professed Triple D, am on hand to bring you the best alternatives to help you feel like the main character this summer.
The best Hermès sandals dupes for summer 2023
The Hermès Oran Sandal
Oran’s are arguably the most timelessly classic and instantly recognisable pair of Hermès sandals. Nothing beats the simple, elegant design and the tan, black and white colourways are key staples of every high-end influencer’s wardrobe.
Luckily for us, their popularity means the designs have trickled down into your favourite high street stores – there are dupes aplenty and they’re so good that you may have to do a double take to check if they’re the real deal.
The leather version from Dune give the Orans a run for their money, while the H&M version are the perfect pair for those on a tight budget. The popularity of this style also means there are endless colourways to choose from; ranging from the classic tan and black to statement lime green and metallic purple iterations.

The Hermès Giulia Sandal
The Giulias are essentially a Birkin in shoe form. With the iconic Hermès buckle front and centre, there is no mistaking who they’re designed by. I’m a sucker for hardware on sandals, when done well it instantly increases how expensive they look and means they’re ideal when you want to style flats with a more formal outfit.
The suede pair by Fairfax and Favor are a dupe-lovers’ dream as they still give you the luxurious designer feel due to being handmade, while not having an eye-watering price tag. This Charles and Keith pair also scream ‘old money’, with the horse bit detail giving a nod to equestrian style, which just so happens to be what Hermès first started out designing for.

The Hermès Famosa Espadrille
Yet another iconic pair of sandals from Hermès are the Famosa espadrilles. With the famous chain-inspired strap, they’re understated luxury personified in shoe form – complete with a £465 price tag.
However, if you’d rather not spend your holiday savings on a pair of sandals this summer fear not, because I’ve found some fabulous dupes for you. The Steve Madden pair are my personal favourite as the square toe instantly increases their luxe-points, while the Ego pair get 5* for their likeness to the originals.
