Stradivarius is the high street’s trend-spotting younger sister. It’s always on hand with a fresh spin on the season’s most-wanted pieces.
Hot on the heels of the viral TikTok denim midi skirt, you’ll find lots more great denim pieces, from shirts to dresses. The brand also has some low-key workwear looks in the mix, from smart pleated trousers to expensive-looking blazers. So, if you’re looking for a wardrobe update for £50 or less, you’re in the right place.
One of my go-to sections on the Stradivarius website has always been the shoes. You’d be hard-pressed to find another high street store with as many cowboy boots and cool party heels for prices this good. This season, it’s also introduced gold-plated jewellery, with necklaces, earrings and rings for under £20.
Stradivarius sure knows the drill for trend-led pieces, but rest assured these ones will last a lot longer than just one season. From springtime transitional coats to classic cargos, we’ve put together an edit of the best new-in pieces at Stradivarius that you’ll turn to for the months ahead.
Denim for days
The reign of the denim midi skirt is still going strong, but Stradivarius (always ahead of the game) has lots of denim pieces that are perfect for this in-between spring weather. We can’t get enough of denim overshirts in the office, but I’m predicting denim shirt dresses will be the next big thing.
Cargoes to keep
Cargo trousers have boomed but aren’t going anywhere either. Why? They’re surprisingly versatile and aren’t just for casual outfits. Wear a pair with a crisp white shirt and you’ve got a smart but stylish look for the office.
Smart trousers
As well as getting cargo trousers just right, Stradivarius has token note of some of our favourite designer brands (Frankie Shop, The Row… I’m looking at you) and created its own edit of smart trousers for a fraction of the price.
Main character blazers
Stradivarius has plenty of minimalist blazers, but it’s the *main character* blazers that really stand out.
Classic coats
Look carefully and you can pick out coats from Stradivarius that no one would ever know weren’t high end or designer. Take this suede coat as an example. Granted, it’s one of Stradivarius’ more expensive pieces at £119, but it’s 100% leather and could easily sit within our favourite Rixo dupes.
It dresses
If you browse the dresses section of Stradivarius, you’ll spot a clear Y2K theme, with slip dresses, mesh, cut-outs and mini dresses galore. If you’re not quite ready for baring all, these are the dresses to snap up for spring. If you’re looking for clever underwear solutions for layering underneath anything revealing, read my article on sheer clothing next.
Holiday co-ords
This co-ord just had to have a mention. Made from a viscose and linen mix in a chic neutral colour, it’d be perfect for packing into a suitcase for a quick sunny getaway. Just layer on some gold jewellery and wear it with some strappy sandals.
Leather looks
Stradivarius has a mix of faux leather and real leather depending on your preference and budget. Stand-out pieces are this leather biker jacket and faux leather shirt dress. The skinny faux leather trousers, meanwhile, are a classic for a reason and will always be useful for dinner and drinks outfits.
Cowboy boots
If you got your hands on that denim midi skirt, it’s time to work out what shoes you can wear with it, especially for this time of year when it’s still too cold for sandals. This season, the answer’s cowboy boots.
Party heels
If you want to step up your shoe game with some new season heels, Stradivarius is always a good place to start for styles that’ll see you from birthday parties to spring weddings. I’m a big fan of metallics as they’ll go with everything.
Ballet flats + trainers
Ballet flats are big news this season thanks to designers like Miu Miu who gave the classic ballet flat style a revamp with straps and studs. Thankfully, Stradivarius knew the assignment and has made its own version for under £30.
Going-out bags
If you have weekend going out plans but don’t want to buy an entirely new outfit, a statement bag for under £20 is the perfect compromise that’ll add a new touch to something you already own.
Jewellery
To finish off an outfit, Stradivarius has launched 18K gold-plated jewellery for spring, with cute designs for layering and gifting.
