Wedding season rolls around like clockwork and all of a sudden you’re facing a calendar full of weekends up and down the country. Fast forward to Friday and you’ve overpacked and are squashed up against the window of a Virgin cross-country train, armed with a suitcase full of potential outfit options.

Trust me I know, it’s easy to feel blinded by far too much choice. Personally, I find it far easier to pile everything but the kitchen sink into my suitcase, lest I forget a single thing. While it feels inviting to succumb to the idea that you need brand spanking new wedding guest outfits for each one you’re attending, it’s best to put that to one side. For the best (and most economically-friendly) outcome you should take it upon yourself to purchase a few classic looks that will work for any kind of countryside nuptials.

The most seasoned of attendees know that preparation is key, work out your surroundings and a chic outfit will come easily. Farmyard romps and high heels are destined to never work out, some countryside churches require a hat, whilst crumbling, chilly country piles usually mean you’ll need to make room for a warm cardigan.
