You spend months, even years, searching for the absolutely perfect dress for the big day. In fact it probably feels like a thousand eyes have been cast over your wedding dress before you walk down the aisle. But the big question is, where on earth is that energy for your honeymoon outfits.

My personal opinion (as someone who is not even engaged – but anyway…) is that your honeymoon is an extension of your gorgeous nuptials. Feeling like the blushing bride is still very much an important factor.

For me, looking picture-perfect, whilst feeling blissfully loved-up, would make any honeymoon even better. Maybe it’s an attention thing? For some, being whisked away with the love of their life feels even more important than the wedding day itself.

Forget table plans and flower arrangements, bridesmaids dresses and cake flavours, the itinerary of the post-marital trip eclipses every other plan – the honeymoon outfits must be PERFECT.

The magic of island life is it’s as vibrant as it is chilled out. Heading to the Caribbean for a post-wedding vacation will offer the ultimate in relaxation. Paddle board on blue lagoons and sip Piña Coladas at rustic beach bars.

Embrace the tropical spirit with bold prints and woven accessories. Create colour clashes and mis-match your prints for a riotous look fit for dancing barefoot on the sand.

One of the jewels of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives could be considered one to have a smarter dress code than its neighbours. I’d say it’s the perfect time to embrace getting ready and go all-out. The weather is warm, so keep materials light.

The floor skimming, body-con dress is enjoying a summer renaissance, pair yours with simple sandals or even a pair of wedge espadrilles. Add a little elegance with statement jewellery and don’t forget a mini bag, filled with UV protective lip balm and a touch of cream blush.
