Nobody’s Child really comes into its own in summer thanks to its floaty dresses in soft linens and cottons, all kinds of florals, ginghams and pretty broderie anglaise fabrics. So, I was very excited to hear about the launch of its first premium range for the new season: NC Boutique. Of course, I had to try out some of the pieces.
This resort-inspired collection promises premium materials with an artisanal spin to the brand’s signature silhouettes and aesthetic, and it has delivered. The Broderie detailing and stitched daisy chain embroidery stands out against the backdrop of natural fabrics in warm earthy yellows, oranges and rusts. Every piece is giving The White Lotus in that refined bohemian way, and I’ll be blaming them if I end up booking a spontaneous getaway.
Some of the best summer dresses I’ve ever found have been from little beach-side boutiques or markets on holidays when you know you’ll never find any as good back at home or online (especially if you’re after the Zimmermann look on a budget like me!).
