We’re die-hard Skims fans on team Eliza, with the simple slinky dresses remaining a staple in our wardrobes all year long.
Pretty much every clothing item from Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand goes viral on TikTok, and it’s not hard to see why. The super-soft, comfy and flattering dresses in particular are social media sensations, selling out quickly after being restocked and being shown off by influencers and regular folk of all shapes and sizes. Starting out with just the OG soft lounge slip dress and later releasing racer back, off-the-shoulder and mini versions, there are regular new drops to the dress range.
From fiery red and bubblegum pink to muted khaki and neutral beige, most of the dresses are now available in a range of colourways. And most recently, the brand released a chandelier collection that features a mini dress with crystal trips and a wedding collection that includes lace-trimmed versions of the Fits Everybody collection. Admittedly, here at Eliza, we’re hooked by every single release.
However if the price tag is out of reach at the moment — up to £86 for a simple jersey dress isn’t cheap — there are plenty of lookalikes on the high street.
So, without further ado, these are the best Skims dress dupes that are in stock right now, but I can’t make any promises about how long for…

Skims Fits Everybody tube dress
The latest Skims dress to know is the Fits Everybody Tube, which comes in black, brown and neon pink and green, and with a cut-out, if you fancy. Just like the popular Skims Fits Everybody Slip Dress, tops, bodysuits, and underwear, the fabric of this dress is super soft and stretchy. In fact, it’s double-lined and has incredible sculpting power that makes it feel as if you’re wearing shapewear underneath the dress.
This summer, we’ll be wearing ours with anything from sandals and strappy heels to chunky trainers. When it gets nippy out, the strapless design means this dress will look especially stylish with a cropped denim jacket.
The dupes
If you’re eager to slip into this ’90s staple but don’t quite have the funds for the real deal, don’t worry. There are plenty of dupes on the market, including this almost identical newly-launched dress from TALA, and options from Na-kd and New Look.
Skims soft lounge long slip dress
The Skims Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress launched in March 2021, and it pretty much went viral instantly on TikTok. Loved for its flattering straight neckline and figure-hugging drapey, ribbed fabric, this dress is equal parts comfortable and elegant.
It’s an absolute wardrobe staple and, available in sizes XXS to 4X and 8 different colours, there’s a variation to suit everyone. But at £76, it’s pretty expensive. Plus, it’s often out of stock online.
Desperate to get your mits on a cheaper version? Here are the best dupes we could find from brands like TALA, Stradivarius and Na-kd. Looking for a cheaper version of the brightly coloured styles? Bershka offers an alternative for the OG black dress as well as a variety of other coloured options (including shades similar to the popular fire and petal Skims dresses).
The dupes
Boasting the same thin spaghetti straps, rounded neckline, and sweeping maxi length, Na-kd’s version of the Skims Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress is very, very close. The major differences are the added sexy side slit and the fact that this one is made from a silky draping fabric that isn’t as stretchy as the iconic Skims ribbed fabric. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though.
This one would be great for any evening event with a pair of heels and some jewellery, or with an oversized denim jacket and trainers in the daytime this summer.
At just £22.99, this Stradivarius dress is a total steal. The material isn’t the same as the Skims version, the neckline is a little more rounded, but it does have the same adjustable straps and it’s also ankle length. The added slit up one leg makes the cheaper version a little easier to walk in and is great for keeping cool in hot weather, as well.
You might know TALA as Grace Beverley’s activewear brand, but it’s so much more than that. Recently, the brand has expanded into skirts and dresses, and team Eliza is obsessed with each and every item. This 365 Sculpting Lounge Cami Maxi dress has been sold out for ages in sizes XS to L, but is still available in 2XS and XL to 4XL. We’re calling it now: this is probably the best dupe you’ll find for the Skims dress.
Bershka’s latest range of maxi dresses has gone viral on TikTok because they’re basically the Skims dress’ doppelgängers. Adjustable straps? Tick. Scoop neck? Yep. Ankle length? Got that too. So, if you’re after a close dupe in either the original black shade or the vibrant red and pink variations, Bershka has got your back. There are white, green, brown, beige, and white versions too, so there’s plenty of choice.
Soft lounge long sleeve dress
After the success of the original dress in early 2021, Skims released a long-sleeved version just in time for winter later that year. Featuring the same curve-enhancing silhouette, flattering square neckline and comfy ribbed fabric, the only difference is the long sleeves.
The added sleeves come with an added £10, though. So, if you’re not prepared to spend £86 on a dress, keep reading. TALA, Na-kd, Marks & Spencer, and ASOS all have some great affordable alternatives.
The dupes
It’s lacking the ankle length, but TALA’s bodycon maxi dress is form-fitting and long-sleeved just like the Skims version. It’ll look great with a sleek ponytail and a red lip.
If it’s the brown version of the longsleeved dress that you want, Na-kd’s dress is your next best bet. It has a V-Neck rather than a square neck, but the ribbed fabric will have the same body contouring effect.
Good old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has answered our prayers with the maxi dress from her collection with M&S. It’s stretchy, ribbed, and fitted like the Skims version and has a square neck, but comes with an added thigh-high slit.
The long-sleeved maxi Skims dress isn’t available in the pretty petal shade anymore. But, not to worry, because ASOS has an unbelievable dupe. It’s just as long and the neckline is exactly the same.
Soft lounge slip dress
If you’re more of a mini dress kind of girl, you’re probably lusting over the Skims soft lounge slip dress. Whether you’re planning to wear it alone or under a mesh maxi, this little number is very useful in the summer. However, it’ll still set you back £66 — which is pretty dear for such a small amount of fabric.
The good news is: Na-kd, Free People, TALA, Abercrombie & Fitch, and & Other Stories all have pretty decent dupes that’ll do the job — some of them for half the price of the OG.
The dupes
You won’t be able to tell this Na-kd dress apart from the Skims version (unless you look closely and spot that the straps aren’t adjustable).
You can always count on Free People for a flattering bodycon dress and this one is a good dupe for the Skims mini. The straps are a little skinnier, though.
If you’re planning on wearing your Skims mini dupe abroad, you’ll be impressed with this one from TALA. The shape and length are similar, but the fabric is towelling fabric rather than ribbed — taking you from poolside to party in minutes.
For taller ladies or those who are a little bit nervous about rocking a mini, go for this dupe from Abercrombie & Fitch. It has built-in shorts to keep any embarrassing slips at bay and makes wearing a mini dress a little more practical.
The Skims ‘fire’ colourway is extremely popular and will continue to be a sell-out throughout summer, we reckon. Can’t manage to find a red version of the mini dress in stock or want a cheaper version? & Other Stories’ strappy mini is a great shout.
Soft lounge sleeveless long dress
If you prefer a sporty look, the Skims soft lounge dress with a racerback is all you. It’s still just as sleek, flattering and feminine, but the high round neck gives it more of an athletic feel that’ll team nicely with ’90s dad trainers and a cross-body bag. But, at £81, it doesn’t come cheap.
Got your heart set on this cool cut but can’t afford the price tag? Don’t sweat it. Try one of these dupes from Pull & Bear, Na-kd, Stradivarius, or New Look.
The dupes
Pull & Bear’s racer back dress has slightly thinner straps than Skims’ version, but can you complain at just £15.99?
It might be a tad shorter than the Skims dress, but Stradivarius’ beige halter midi looks almost exactly the same.
If you’re looking for a white version of the Skims racerback dress, you’ll be a fan of New Look’s dress. It has an added side split and is a midi rather than a maxi, but the straps and material are really similar.
