Confession: I am not an IRL shopper. I tire of trying things on quickly, particularly if there’s a specific occasion for which I need to find an outfit. So, most things in my wardrobe were bought via the internet from retailers like ASOS.
After endless scrolling and heart-ing things to my saved items, I can try potential new clothes on in the comfort of my own home without having to deal with changing rooms (bear with me, I promise this is a beauty article.)

I like a challenge, so I gave myself the difficult task of narrowing down the best beauty products on ASOS to a carefully curated edit of just six favourites.
It was no small feat, considering more than 8,000 items sit under the Face + Body section, but I persevered for my fellow shoppers.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, from £17
I’ve written about my love for this ultra-fine mist before on Eliza (see my guide on waterproof makeup for ref), but honestly? She’s earned her place here too.
This has quickly become the MVP of setting sprays in beauty circles. If I WhatsApped every one of my beauty industry friends and asked them for their best setting spray recs, I’m fairly confident this would come out on top.
It locks everything down and even yields minimal transfer when wearing a mask. If you’re reluctant to spend, I always recommend grabbing the travel size the first time you try a new product, so that you’ve wasted less money, if, for any reason you hate it (but I really, really don’t think you will in this case.)
Maybelline Sky High Mascara, £12
Mascara is quite possibly the most personal makeup buy there is, and one person’s long-time fave will be another’s ‘not the one.’
If you’re on BeautyTok, I’m probably not putting a brand new product on your radar by recommending the now-famous Maybelline Sky High. But if you’re yet to try it, know that after I did, it replaced my go-to of at least six years. I know. I thought I was loyal.
To me it’s the best high street mascara for everyday wear because it lengthens without clumping, adds just the right amount of volume and never flakes off. As well as a waterproof mascara version, Sky High now comes in a bolder Cosmic Black shade too, for added drama (although at the time of writing it’s not available on ASOS, sob).
Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Cream Mist, from £15
Skincare stans rave about Dr.Jart+’s Ceramidin Cream, but I recently grabbed the mist edition during a trip to Sephora and it’s now up there with my faves.
Containing a ‘5-Cera’ complex to strengthen and support the skin barrier so that your skin retains moisture, it absorbs easily and leaves you feeling soft and plump.
The actual nozzle itself deserves a shout-out too as it disperses a lovely, fine mist. I’ve reached for it so much during the recent heatwaves, but I know it’ll be great for topping up my skin’s moisture levels throughout the day when working from home in winter, too.
Eylure Dybrow Eyebrow Tint, £8
I’m going to let you in on a not-very-little secret. Many beauty experts use this very kit to tint their own eyebrows at home. Lockdown supercharged this phenomenon for many people, as none of us could get to a salon, and it’s something that’s remained a habit for many of my friends.
Eylure’s is widely seen as the go-to because it’s quick and easy to use and, with that price tag, it’s a great buy if you’re looking to save money in your beauty routine. It’s a staple in mine.
Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector, £28
Olaplex probably needs no introduction and the No.3 Treatment is the cult celeb-loved buy from the range – according to the brand, one is sold every 3.5 seconds.
This weekly treatment works to repair broken bonds in the hair, leading to healthier and stronger-feeling strands, so it’s particularly beneficial for remedying the effects of colouring (it can be used on virgin hair too).
Because of these bond-building abilities it’s considered to be something of a holy grail in haircare products and professional hairdressers love it.
The bottle is dinky, but you don’t have to use a lot at a time and the results are worth the investment.
Take this as your sign from the universe to try it if you’ve been on the fence until now.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, £21
A more recent addition to the ASOS Face + Body section is the iconic Sol de Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, loved by celebs and beauty editors alike.
Supercharged with caffeine, it’s extremely nourishing thanks to ingredients like cupuaçu butter and coconut oil. But perhaps more surprisingly, it sinks in well considering it’s a thicker cream, leaving your skin silky soft and achieving a smoother texture over time.
It is quite sweet and nutty scent-wise, which isn’t always my personal preference, but it’s undeniably delicious, with salted caramel, vanilla and pistachio.
If you’d prefer a lighter or plainer everyday moisturiser instead, the CeraVe Moisturising Lotion is where it’s at IMO.
