If you’re a perfume collector (read: hoarder) like me, you may already be familiar with Zara and & Other Stories’ extensive and affordable fragrance lines – especially when it comes to a good dupe. But did you know that Next has its own range of perfumes too?
I’ll admit I wasn’t put on to this scent discovery until recently, but it turns out that like its aforementioned high street neighbours, Next has a range of delightful smelling fragrances for under £30. Not only that, but after a bit of digging, I found out the brand also has a fair few perfume dupes up its sleeve.
So when you’re next headed to your local store or are on the lookout for a new scent, keep an eye out for these Next perfumes, which could very easily be mistaken for some alternative luxury fragrances.

Next perfume dupes list for 2023
1. Dupe for Chanel Coco Mademoiselle: Next Eau Nude
Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle is a timeless classic, with sparkling notes of citrus, rose, patchouli and musk, making it a great fragrance entry point for younger fans of the brand. I used to wear this all the time during my late teens and the scent is still instantly recognisable when walking past someone on the street.
The original perfume: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, £84
Next’s Eau Nude is a classic floral fragrance and contains notes the same notes of mandarin, rose and patchouli as Coco Mademoiselle. In my opinion, it doesn’t last as long on the skin as Chanel (the brand has the longest-lasting perfumes I’ve ever tried) and leans more into powdery and musk notes than Coco Mademoiselle EDT, however, it’s unmistakably similar.

2. Dupe For Mugler Alien: Next Aura
Alien by Thierry Mugler has to be one of the most popular amber fragrances for women, with top notes of jasmine that settle down to woods and amber. It’s a mysterious and seductive scent that’s perfect for the evening.
The original perfume: Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum, £92
Next has drawn on the same notes of amber and jasmine in its Aura perfume, with additional notes of vanilla, musk, mandarin and cassis. If you love the original Alien, Aura is one of the closest scent dupes out there.

3. Dupe for Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess: Next Summer Sun
The perfect scent match for poolside summer days, Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess is a warm and sunny fragrance that blends notes of creamy vanilla, sweet coconut, amber and white flowers.
The original perfume: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, £64
An alternative (but very similar) sunshine-in-a-bottle type fragrance is Next’s Summer Sun. This scent is truly delicious, with opening notes of coconut and citrus, which dry down to reveal smooth caramel and amber, while playful exotic floral notes linger on the skin.

4. Dupe for Ralph Lauren Romance: Next Just Pink
Back in the day, you could rely on smelling Next’s Just Pink fragrance in a sixth-form common room or house party just as much as spotting a Jane Norman bag. It was an iconic scent in its own right, with a bow bottle, crystal pink liquid and fresh accords of florals and fruits that aren’t too sweet or overbearing.
The original perfume: Ralph Lauren Romance, £78
Many fans of Just Pink graduated on to Ralph Lauren’s Romance as they grew older, unsurprisingly, because the two are very alike. Yes, Romance is more complex than Just Pink, with additional notes of ginger, chamomile, and oakmoss, alongside a bouquet of fresh flowers, but the two are incredibly close. For an everyday feminine floral fragrance, Just Pink is just right.

5. Dupe for Marc Jacobs Daisy: Next Flowers
Another one of my OG favourites, Daisy by Marc Jacobs is a floral fresh perfume that transports you to clear blue skies and lush green fields in late May. If you love light and airy fragrances but want a touch of floral, this is the ideal blend, with breezy notes of violet leaf, jasmine and gardenia, tempered by musk, white woods and vanilla.
The original: Marc Jacobs Daisy, £70
It isn’t hard to guess that Next might be trying to recreate the success of Daisy with its Flowers fragrance. I wouldn’t say this is a spot on dupe of Daisy: Flowers has floral notes of jasmine, tuberose, magnolia, patchouli and so comes across less green than Daisy, but the similarities are there with the sweet tonka and sandalwood.
