Out of all the seasons, spring has to be up there as one of my faves. Autumn will always reign supreme (it’s *spooky season* after all), but this time of year also has a pretty magical feel to it.
The temperature is beginning to pick up, cute flowers have sprung and the joys of summer are right around the corner. For someone like me who hates hot hot weather, spring is about as good as it gets.
Another thing I love? A new season of manicures, ofc. Spring nail art is defined by pretty pastels, kitschy gingham and daisies galore. It’s pretty, it’s cute and it’s gentle, especially in comparison to the seasons that have preceded (winter nail art and Halloween mani’s, I’m looking at you).
The most important thing about this new season is ensuring your nails are feeling their strongest and healthiest, which means before you pop to the salon, a touch of nail maintenance can make all the difference.
Think oils, creams and of course, SPF before your mitts reach the UV lamp.

Green nails
Green nails are all the rage right now — even nail trend pioneer Hailey Bieber was rocking them to Coachella. Sage, pistachio, pastel, and khaki are all good choices, but I’m obsessed with this neon green shade.
Neon tips
Don’t reserve neon for your summer holidays; start manifesting warmer weather now with some fine neon tips.
Butterflies
Butterflies are everywhere in fashion right now, thanks to the Y2K style renaissance. So, why not add a splash of ‘00s fun to your mani? Plus, Spring is butterfly season with the first ones creeping out mid-March.
Chrome tips
These chrome tips feel like the 2023 version of the viral Hailey Bieber Glazed doughnut nails we loved so much last year.
Daisy dream
Cute daisies are synonymous with spring, so embrace the trend with this design, which looks lovely on a couple of fingers as well as all over.
Mellow yellow
If you don’t fancy nail art, a sunny, bright pastel yellow is a great way to embrace the new season.
Lavender tips
Want tips but with a difference? These lilac ones with yellow outlines epitomise spring beautifully. Chic and cool, check, check.
Watercolour florals
Get artistic with your florals and embrace the watercolour trend. This may require a steady hand, but the results sure are worth it.
Pink aura
As Eliza’s Beauty Insider Laura Capon points out, aura nails are *the* nail art trend of the season; these offer a divine spring twist.
Sheer mint
If you don’t fancy traditional daisies, go for pastel blooms on a sheer base.
Mix’n’match
The trend that just keeps on giving, you can really play around with different designs with this one.
Pastel tips
A classic and yet still a winner in my eyes, these pastel tips will get you excited for Easter.
Bold’n’bright
Who said pastels reigned supreme in spring? Go as bright as you desire as the months begin to get warmer.
Perfect pastels
Swirls, flowers and muted tones: this design has it all.
Get graphic
If you fancy something a little more modern and less ‘pretty’ per se, this simple design is ideal for in-between months.
Stay neutral
If pretty pastels or bold brights just aren’t your thing, keep it super simple and chic with nudes, beiges and whites.
Checkmate
This look is so cute for this time of year!
