It’s no mean feat to have a brand that specialises in shapewear and loungewear that constantly feels exciting, serves fab newness on a regular basis and makes us want to buy literally every little thing (jersey ribbed knickers included) that it releases. But Kim Kardashian really knows what she’s doing with Skims.
I’ve long waxed lyrical about how much I rate a lot of the core shapewear collection, and fashion content creator Lottie is a fan of the underwear and dresses, too. So rest (and shop) assured that if we bring you a Skims edit, it’s full of the good stuff.
So when I spotted Skims had released tons of new summer shades and styles, you know what I had to do. Here’s the lowdown on the best pieces from the Skims new-in section:
The girl boxers
I bought these in black a few months ago and no exaggeration, I’ve never known comfort like it. I’m not one for lounging around the house in teeny shorts but as pyjamas with an oversized T-shirt or vest, this pair of shorts has seen me through the heatwave.
Skims has given them a summer makeover with a cute new blue colour palette. Like the seasonal shades before them, the blues will likely be limited edition so shop while you can.
The at-home chilling bra
This new-in juniper shade (a washed khaki, I’d say) is *chef’s kiss*. I’d go as far as to say it’s my favourite shade Skims has brought out so far. There’s something so chic and expensive-looking about it.
I love a soft racerback style under an oversized shirt when I’m working-from-home, and this one is my next Skims purchase.
The perfect bodysuit
It’s no secret that I love a Skims bodysuit: they’re shaping without feeling restrictive or uncomfortable and offer a seamless look that means they work under clothes but look just as good on their own.
Navy is an excellent addition to the thong bodysuit line-up. With high-waisted jeans, white mules and a teeny straw bag for evening drinks? Yes please. Could we have it in the juniper shade next season, Kim?

The new It dress
Figure-hugging colour block maxi dresses are Skims forte, so naturally, the summer season would see a new shape release. And this neon style does not disappoint. I can see Kim wearing this with sky-high heels, bum-skimming bleach blonde locks and Matrix-style sunglasses to pop to the shops – but the rest of us can wear them with flat slides and a denim jacket for cute day drinks.
The logo bra
Up until recently, Skims has been a minimal brand but lots of the new-in pieces have its logo along the hem. It’s very subtle, in a slightly darker shade than the items, and a nice addition IMHO. It adds a sporty feel to this underwired cotton bra and adds interest, so fans of the brand’s cotton bras will love that this feels like a brand-new piece.
The fun summer top
The colourful girlies among us should pair this cropped Barbie-esque top with high-waisted white trousers and strappy heels for summer evenings on holiday – how great would it look with glowy skin and a tropical back drop? Kim and I are just thinking of the fab Instagram content you’ll get at this point, thank us later.

The must-have T-shirt
At least four Eliza team members have the cult Skims smoothing T-shirt (myself included) in different shades. It looks great with everything from a silk bias cut midi skirt and dad sandals, to a T-shirt and blazer. This new shade ‘pacific’ (a slick dolphin-esque colour, if you will) is giving Rosie Huntington-Whiteley vibes. Team with oversized joggers and Adidas Sambas for off-duty vibes.
The accessible cami
The Skims adaptive range is brilliant, and this chocolate cami top features a hook and eye fastening for easier access and has exactly the same price point as the other camis, which we love to see. I love this bronze shade for warm weather but the navy is worth noting too: it would look so good under an oversized trouser suit.
The cut-out body
Skims is all about underwear solutions so the inclusion of a shapewear body with cut-outs (to go with the next cut-out dress line, naturally) is both a no-brainer and completely genius. Midriff and back cut-outs are by far the most popular designs on the high street so if you’re a fan of the trend, you’ll get tons of wear out of this all-in-one.
