I’m going to throw in an early disclaimer that I’m in no way an astrologer. I’m just someone who loves learning about star sign traits and personality types, mentally creating a checklist that goes against each one so that I can be ready to completely prejudge someone based on their star sign.
This mental checklist I’ve been working on for years means that alongside my (completely legitimate) fashion editor advice, I can also give you some (completely illegitimate) star-sign advice when it comes to shopping.
With warm weather properly on the horizon, it’s time to think about our summer wardrobes, and the high street is packed with new season tops. The best way to edit them down to find the one for you? By your star sign, of course!
Capricorn

The first air sign, it’s a natural fit for Aquarians to look to a calming blue top for spring. They’re confident and natural leaders so a smart shirt that makes a statement but means business is key. Pisces

Pisces are one of the most romantic, sensitive signs of the zodiac, so what better fit than a pretty embroidered blouse that speaks to their creativity? Sezane should be high on a Piscean’s shopping radar since it nails the romantic aesthetic year-round. The scalloped edge is also giving the coastal vibes this water baby needs.

Aries
The top: a striped knit vest

Gemini

Think of the most sociable friend in your circle and I’ll bet they’re a Gemini. If they’re on the hunt for a new season top, I can also bet it’ll be one they can wear with a silky skirt and high heels to go out in. The playful and fun-loving Gemini is best suited to the Barbiecore takeover dominating the high street in time for the Barbie movie release, and this sweet but sexy blouse is perfect.
Cancer
The top: The summery printed top
Cancerians are known for being sensitive souls with a goofy sense of humour, so a top that provides a dopamine hit and makes them smile is a winner. British label Kitri excels at both and its summer collection is *chef’s kiss*. Think citrus prints, vintage designs and mood-boosting brights.
Leo
The top: the snakeskin printed top
Leos are confident being the centre of attention, so a print that commands the room and is the lesser-spotted animal print on the high street, will suit their fiery personalities nicely. While this top appears low-key, when worn with silver trousers, strappy black heels and a bold red lip, as our Leos would, it makes a statement.
Virgo
The top: a fashion-forward neutral waistcoat

Sagittarius

A spontenous and fun sign, Sagittarians need a top that’ll go from day-to-night seamlessly, since last minute plans with friends are commonplace. By day, this choker knit works with a blazer and wide-leg trousers, but by night, with big earrings, leather trousers and heels it comes into its own. Just like a Sagittarius.
