There aren’t many products that achieve as much of a cult status as Chanel’s Les Beiges Bronzing Cream, £43, Sephora. With a soft, buttery texture that quickly melts into the skin for a sun-kissed glow, this bronzer has become one of the most popular in its space.
It straddles a gel and cream texture and includes light-reflecting pigments for a natural, radiant skin finish. It’s no surprise then, that people are willing to fork out a pretty penny to get their hands on this bronzer. But while it might be cheaper than a trip to St. Barts, dropping £43 on a makeup product isn’t always realistic for us all right now (cost of living crisis, I’m looking at you).
The original Chanel cream bronzer
Thankfully, the affordable beauty space has stepped up and provided a smorgasbord of high street cream bronzers, with a select few that I’ve found to be worthy Chanel cream bronzer dupes. Here’s where you should be parting your money with to get that healthy, summer glow for less..

The best Chanel cream bronzer dupes
Below, find the best dupes for Chanel’s Les Beiges Bronzing Cream, starting at just £6.
Revolution XX Bronze Skin Cream, £12
Revolution is an absolute goldmine when it comes to beauty dupes, with affordable alternatives to best-selling products such as those from Charlotte Tilbury and Fenty Beauty. One of its best though, is the Bronze Skin Cream, a lightweight cream bronzer which gives a natural, subtle glow.
The colour payoff is slightly less pigmented than Chanel’s Les Beiges, but you can easily build it up to achieve the bronze or sculpt that you want. It comes in three shades, which is the same as Chanel, but I hope it will extend it range to make it work for more skin tones and undertones.
e.l.f Putty Bronzer, £6
This gel-putty bronzer is a high street must-have. With eight shades in different undertones, it’s a multi-hyphenate product that can be used both as bronzer and contour.
The finish errs on the semi-matte, velvet side, which makes it a good option for those with oily skin types, but it’s also formulated with argan oil and vitamin E to keep skin moisturised throughout the day.
It’s a hit bronzer in its own right, but considering you could buy seven of these for the price of one Chanel cream bronzer, it’s definitely a worthwhile dupe too.
Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer, £26
For a balmy, sunkissed bronze, look no further than Saie’s Sun Melt. This smooth and blendable formula is packed with skincare ingredients including grapeseed oil and colloidal oatmeal, which lends to its your-skin-but-better finish.
It has more of a balmier texture than Chanel’s version, but delivers on giving that much-coveted French Riviera glow. I also love that you can blend this into the skin easily with your fingers, should a brush not be to hand.
Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer, £29
While Chanel’s bronzer has no doubt become a fan favourite, the shade range is clearly lacking. Fenty has set the bar for inclusivity in makeup products and its cream bronzer is no different, offering eight warm, neutral and cool shades from ‘Amber’, a cool-toned hue perfect for contouring lighter skin tones, to ‘Toffee Tease’, a deep neutral shade that’s ideal for darker skin tones.
This bronzer has a similar sheer pigment to Chanel’s, which means you can gradually build it up and avoid ever falling prey to terrible tan lines. Although it’s at the top end of the high street price-point wise, it’s still £14 less than Chanel, and its flexible approach to undertones means it doubles up as a bronzer and contour.
REFY Cream Bronzer, £18
Coming in at just under £20, Refy’s bronzer is a glowy alternative to Chanel’s Les Beiges at under half the price. The Instagram-loved brand thrives on the minimal, no-makeup makeup approach to beauty, and its bronzer follows suit.
Available in four shades, the sheer formula makes it flexible for a wider range of skin tones than if it were a matte finish, but if you’re not sure what shade would be best for you, Refy will help you find your perfect match if you DM on Instagram or drop them an email.
