There are SO many reasons why H&M stands firm as one of our favourite high street stores, from expensive-looking pieces at affordable prices to fun collaborations, the brand always delivers.
And, if there’s one thing H&M does better than anyone else, it’s designer collections. After previously collaborating with high-end designers like Erdem and Simone Rocha, it’s raised the bar for the latest drop with the iconic French fashion house Mugler, for the Mugler H&M Collection.
Featuring both womenswear and menswear, the collection is inspired by Mugler’s youthful, playful energy, taking inspiration from archival designs of the 80s and 90s, as well as pieces that are perfectly on-trend for today.
“This collection is a watershed moment for the house of Mugler – a chance for us to celebrate our history and the pieces that we are beloved for today,” says Casey Cadwaller, Creative Director of Mugler. “The collaboration includes many of our signatures, from catsuits and bodycon dresses to tailoring, denim and beautiful, bold jewellery and accessories.”
When did Mugler H&M launch?
Mugler H&M dropped online and in-store on 11th May at 9am, with long queues outside some shops. Previous collaborations have seen items sell out in seconds so move quickly if you have your eye on something.

What should I buy from the Mugler H&M collection?
Narrowing your selection down to just a few key items is tough, as the collection features so many stand-out pieces that we wish we could treat ourselves to them all. For the discerning shopper however, we predict the corset-style blazer top is going to sell out quickly, so snap it up if you get the chance. We also love the mesh-panelled corset top for a similar vibe.
The sheer body is also a must buy as it’s so close to the original catwalk design we’re not sure anyone will be able to tell the difference. Combine with the coordinating leggings for the ultimate body suit.
And, if you’re looking for a showstopping dress, there are plenty, including this electric blue corset-style number, just pair with pointed slingbacks for a chic, 80s feel. There are some head-turning structured cocktail dresses in wool and velvet and plenty more bodycon minis to elevate your out-out looks. – including a mesh-panelled style in pepto pink.
The accessories are probably the best pieces for cost-per-wear. Our pick? This leather baseball cap that’ll work for all your off-duty looks. There is also a chic oversized shopper in the same understated style.
